Chef @ Nikkei Ramen-YaI am a chef based in the Comox Valley. At nineteen years old I decided to leave Ottawa and move closer to the mountains and ocean. Landing in Victoria, I completed my apprenticeship at the Oak Bay Marina. After seventeen years in the city I had a strong desire to live and work closer to the amazing produce from Vancouver Island. The Comox Valley was a natural fit, with incredible farms and fisheries. Over the last fifteen years I have worked hard to build strong relationships with the people who grow and produce the outstanding bounty of this unique island. Currently I am developing large-scale production models that supply multiple restaurants and a growing number of retail locations.
