About Mount Washington
Where does the BC Seafood Festival take place?
The 2024 BC Seafood Festival is taking place on Mount Washington Alpine Resort, Comox Valley, Vancouver Island, Canada.
Where on Mount Washington does the Festival take place?
The hub of the Festival is in the main tent beside the Alpine Lodge (same building as Ted’s Bar and Grill). Some events are indoors in the various rooms of the Alpine Lodge including Ted’s Bar and Grill where two After Parties will be held. Shucked! Oyster Bar Happy Hour takes place outside at the bottom and top of Mount Washington!
Where do I park?
There is extensive and ample parking beside and above the Alpine Lodge.

With stunning views, an incredible roster of outdoor adventure activities and a range of fantastic accommodation options, the destination venue allows the Festival a depth of indoor and outdoor event hosting options no matter the weather, removes site impacts from its previous location, while also offering an enhanced experience for Festival attendees!

When I am not at a Festival event, is there food on the Mountain?
Yes – the Eagle Cafe is open for breakfast and lunches.

Where are the washrooms?
There are indoor and outdoor washrooms available on Mount Washington at the Alpine Lodge.
How do I get to the Comox Valley?
Planes, ferries and automobiles! Direct flights to the Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) from Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary will give you instant access to Festival events and attractions. Learn more about how to access the Comox Valley here.
About Tickets / Specific Events
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets will go on sale to the public soon. In the meantime, your best option to snag deals and presale tickets is to become a Friend of the Festival here!
Are tickets refundable?
No, tickets are not refundable, but can be transferred easily to a friend / family member or associate. Thank you for your understanding.
During Shucked! Oyster Bar Happy Hour, will there be cooked oysters?
There will be limited cooked oysters at this event with one cooked oyster station, but most of the oysters during Shucked! Oyster Bar Happy Hour will be raw.
Will there be camping options available at the 2024 Festival?
Yes there is limited camping available to ticket purchasers, however it will be non-serviced and will be in the upper parking lot on the Mountain. Self-contained campers, RV’s and camper vans only that can hold all grey and waste water (no tents). Camping tickets will be released soon!
General Questions
Are children able to attend?
Children will need a ticket to attend events, but please note some events are 19+ only.
Will there be tasting / food booths or drink / beverage booths this year? Will there be a Signature Weekend similar to the 2019 Festival?
There will be tasting stations / beverage booths at the Festival this year! Please stay tuned for more details.
What should I wear to the Festival?
Come prepared! Bring sunscreen and a hat and be prepared for all weather, being located on a mountain can make things a little chilly. We hope for amazing weather but dress accordingly. This is a rain or shine event.
The Gala Dinner is the only event with dress attire of business/semi-formal – all other events are ‘come as you are’.

Can I smoke at Mount Washington / the Festival?
No, you cannot smoke at Mount Washington or the BC Seafood Festival, they are smoke free environments. You can check here if there is an active fire ban.
